Scholarships

NAHN Colorado Chapter Scholarship - $500

We are fortunate to have resources to provide one scholarship to current or incoming Hispanic students enrolled in accredited nursing tract programs.  Applications are accepted throughout the year. The letter of request must include the plan that the student has in pursuing the ultimate goal of becoming a professional nurse and serving the Hispanic community through volunteer work or through your activities. Two letters of recommendation must accompany this letter. The request will be reviewd by members of NAHN. Speakers' Bureau

NAHN Colorado members are available to speak on the profession of nursing as well as to discuss cultural differences when dealing with the Hispanic client/patient.  The association has as its goal to recruit and retain Hispanics to ncrease the number of bilingual and bicultural nursess who may provde culturally competent nursing care to the growing number of Hispancs entering the health care system.
